Kentucky provides civil protection against perpetrators of domestic violence in certain relationship categories. Petitions for these orders (DVOs) are available everyday of the week, at any hour.  These orders, if entered, proscribe certain, if any, contact by the perpetrator with victim and certain actions by the perpetrator (e.g., possessing a firearm or being with a certain distance of the victim).
